The inauguration of LOFT 23 was a success!
The Spengler Cup Davos is already history again & HC Davos was not only able to celebrate the anniversary, but also the victory!
LOFT 23, which was launched on the occasion of the 100th anniversary, has proved its worth as a mobile timber construction!
The sustainable and regionally produced wooden building, which served as VIP hospitality during the ice hockey event, was transformed from a temple of sport into a meeting place for the business elite in just a few days.
The impressive mobile timber construction has a total usable area of 6500 m2, is two-storey high and consists of around 670 ceiling and floor elements. Around 3000 tree trunks from Graubünden were sawn for LOFT 23 in our Resurses sawmill.
The building will be dismantled after the WEF. Parts of it can be used again and again over the next few years for summer and winter events throughout Switzerland.
The design, planning and construction management of LOFT 23 was carried out by our subsidiary INVIAS AG in Maienfeld and Savognin, while the UFFER GROUP team was responsible for the production of the components and the construction and dismantling of the building.
