The market is crying out for local products and raw materials, it is crying out for wood. We hear this demand and send a loud echo back through the resurses2025 project.
In the forests of the municipality of Surses, 1.5 m³ of wood grows every hour. That's around 13,000 m³ every year. Just like that. An incredible fact that points to huge and valuable resources.
Despite abundant resources, a very large proportion of this wood is processed outside our canton. This raises not only economic but also ecological questions. The resurses2025 project was created in response to this. With the initial project in Tinizong, a highly digitalised and modern sawmill is being realised. From 2025 onwards, only local wood is to be processed in the canton of Graubünden.
The resurses2025 project aims to provide wood from the region for the region. This is how we generate real added value. Opportunities are created for people, animals and our entire environment.
